WHO ARE WE?

Wilderness Saunas was Born as an idea in 2019, The barrel sauna is  a uniquely Tasmanian Built sauna created here in Tasmania  from   Salvaged timber in the midlands and Huon valley regions, these trees have taken their course as wind breaks reached old age and salvaged from being burnt in piles and turned into carbon. Drew Neiht the creator Wilderness Saunas has designed and build this first commercial sauna for Wilderness Saunas. The drive to do this stems from His partners origin of Estonia in Europe a place that shares deep history with Sauna Bathing.

OUR MISSION IS TO BRING SAUNA CULTURE TO AUSTRALIA, develop our own cultural around it and EDUCATE ON THE BENEFITS OF REGULAR SAUNA USE, PAIRED WITH NATURE AND OFF GRID EXPERIENCES. WE DO THIS BY CREATING ONE OFF UNIQUE SAUNAS and We partner with land owners to access locations otherwise unavailable to experience, our operations do our best at following a regenerative business approach. To do this we operate the sauna off grid and only use timber to fuel your sessions from a local boutique timber mill they are off cuts from creating building materials for homes. For Every Sauna session we look to plant 1 tree for a regenerative approach to business and  care for the land we live on.
